Ohio Regimen This is another story about another member in the 118th regimen
whose pension records seem to mirror that of Enos Jones.
Claim for Invalid Pension of Enos M. Jones Enos
Jones had to fight the government for his Civil War Pension. The following are affidavits
from friends and towns people who knew him and were able to testify on his
behalf.
Enos Jones Mines for Oil in 1864
During early mining excursions Enos joined up with Rufas Dawes a famous oil entrepreneur
to mine for oil in Hancock County Ohio.

Patron Records These records hold many names from Hamler and Hancock County
Ohio. They are room and board fee's as well as whiskey and groceries. The
records are from the diary of Enos Jones.
