Edwin L. King

Alger- Edwin L. King. 44 died Dec. 6 in a Toledo Hospital as a result of bronchial pneumonia. Born May 16, 1916 in Allen County. He was a son of Marinous H. King and he survives with one sister, Mrs. Helen Powell of 504 W. Robb; two half-sisters. Mrs. Ethel Russell of Toledo and Mrs. Mary Chapel of Oklahoma; two half brothers. Miller Gilmore of Texas and R. Gilmore of Toledo. Services will be held Sunday at 2 P.M. In Hanson Funeral Home, Alger with Rev. Willard Thomas officiating. Burial will be in McDonald Fairview Cemetery. Friends may call the funeral home after 2 p.m. Saturday.

10/22/1992 Kenton- Helen King Powell, 72, died at 10:55 a.m. Wednesday at the Corinthian Nursing Home in Kenton. She was born June 21, 1920, in Lima, the daughter of M.H. And Iva Faurot King. *In July 1941, she married Merle M. Powell, who died in July of 1985. Mrs. Powell was a homemaker. She was a member of the United Brethren Church in Lima. Survivors include one half brother, Millard A. Gillmore of Gatesville, Texas. She was preceded in death by one brother, Edwin King; one half brother, Ira Gilmore; and two sisters, Mary Shappell and Ethel Russell. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Alger, Rev. Gerald Sheldon officiating. Burial will be in McDonald-Fairview Cemetery, near Roundhead. Friends may call 6 to 9 p.m. Today and until time of services Friday at the funeral home.
